Spring has finally arrived here in Southern Manitoba.. well, kind of.. it is snowing outside as I type.. but not the kind that stays. :-)   The leaves are not out as yet.. but there are promising buds and the song birds are flitting about in the trees.

It feels so good to once more be able to get out and about without the need of a scarf or mitts… more often than not, with camera in hand.

The end result is that my garden will soon be flourishing (hopefully) but my “Simply Col” blog is floundering. I have come to the conclusion that blogging, at least for me, is more of a winter sport, so I have decided to go with what feels right for the moment, or the season,or both.

I still plan on posting during the summer months but, with the warm weather and summer vacation days, the posts may be sporadic.  I think much of my summer computer time will most likely be spent on my photography related sites… my Flickr page,  my photoblog.

So until the fall … Happy Spring and Happy Summer everyone. :-)

I totally understand what you are saying. Enjoy your spring and summer as long as you have it, and come back whenever you can. Summer for me means staying inside out of the dreaded heat and humidity.

Sounds like someone has spring fever. Since camera is in hand, photos is all we ask for. Enjoy!

Don and I spent the afternoon working in our gardens. It was wonderful – all but the stiff back. Tomorrow is supposed to be HOT here in SE Pennsylvania. This weather is crazy.

    sorry about the snow!

  4. I didn’t check The Official Rules of Blogging, but as far as we’re concerned, blogging breaks are not only OK, but in fact desirable. Enjoy your time away… we enjoyed the photos today. (So that’s where all our juncos went)

I understand completely… just keep us up to date on the animal kids and the grandkids.

Don’t know how I missed noticing (or forgot?)that you were on flickr or that you had a photo blog, but thanks for the reminder.

  7. I’m with ya, gal. Blogging lately has been a chore and an encumbrance, not a pleasure, so it’s time to back away a bit, I think.

    See you on aminus3.com

Shorts and Tees here yesterday. Not today though.

My tie to blogging seems to be fraying. We’ll see.

I sure enjoy reading your blog. But I understand the pull of the great outdoors. Lucky I can catch up with you at work. Lets hope Spring really comes soon here in Winnipeg. H

Hello Bear. I am Oscar. I found your blog when my mummwas looking up triaditis because my vet is waiting for blood tests from Texas to see if I have had mild triaditis because my intestine is inflamed. I am on low fat food which is not fun and am taking pills too :(
Please visit my blog when you can

I’m also getting a little tired of blogging. Might be a good time to quit.

I hope you enjoy your spring and summer!!

Spring and summer are definately busy times of the year. There’s so much to do outdoors and so many photo ops. (I’ve bookmarked your photo site)

I haven’t been blogging much of late – too many things on the go now, but I’ll pop into your site when I’m out for a blog walk.

Take care and enjoy your Spring!

It must be great to be able to get out and about, not least for Coco and Sadie. Your garden is heaps more important than your blog.

We, of course, are getting cooler at night. We are never ready for the cold. I suppose because some days are pleasantly warm.

  14. Pearl Says:

I’ll be seeing you in the pictures then… :)
