Breathing Easier

I feel as if I have been groping through a bit of a fog this past week. The head cold turned ugly and left a nasty sinus infection in its wake. Thoughts were difficult, let alone words.

The seemingly never ending winter didn’t add favourably and between feeling poorly and feeling forever cold, my mood has been low. +sigh+

But thanks to the wonders of antibiotics and warm soup I am once more breathing easy. Yesterday, after almost two weeks with no baby contact, I was finally able to visit with my grandkids.

And there lies the real medicine for all that ails. :-)

Both little ones are doing well. Birdie is blossoming and is showing great interest in all that surrounds her. Peanut… well Peanut is no longer a peanut. He started out as the smaller … but now is the larger of the two.

So without further a due… here are some photos (a Grandma’s prerogative).

First we have Peanut little Zack… all bundled up, in a basket and out for a walk with Mom, Dad, and Grandma.

And here we have little Birdie, the girl with a zillion expressions. Here she tries out her new lounge chair. She is a little small for it but seems quite excited about its potential.

They make my heart smile. :-)

Hi Colleen – what beautiful grandchildren you have :) I can only imagine all the great joy they bring to your life. It has been a very long winter and still a ways to go, but nothing lasts forever, and spring will be here before you know it.

I’m so glad you’re feeling well enough to take your real medicine.

We have a picture of my son all bundled up on a sled that looks so much like that except we have sunglasses on him. Good thing I have the negative hidden. Prints keep disappearing.

I’m so glad you’re feeling better. Those children are adorable. I know it must have been so hard not to be around them.

  5. So glad to hear that you are feeling better–colds are nasty, especially when they keep you away from your grandkids! Your two newest family members are adorable–although Birdie looks a lot more comfortable than Peanut in the pix!

I have always found it amazing how darn CUTE babies are. Then you see some adults out in public and you wonder how they ever could have been a baby!

It finally snowed here and I thought of you. I took Bryce out on Monday but he only needed a jacket. He pulled off his sock and chewed it. Lucky it wasn’t that cold then. I love the snowbaby here.

I hate sinus infections. My Allegra D prescription ran out and I hope I can get a refill before mine get too far gone.

That baby in the basket is one of the cutest things I think I have ever seen. It reminds me of a papoose.

I’m glad you’re on the mend and able to visit with your beautiful grandchildren. They really are the best medicine to lift you out of the winter doldrums!

Thanks for sharing your photos. The little ones sure have grown since the last photos you posted.

    Take care!

  12. Zack is adorable, but Birdie, with her wild-ass hair, has stolen my heart.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better!

LOVE the new grandbaby pics. Sorry to hear about your sinus infection. I also get them, but gradually learning how to avoid them (when I realize one may be imminent). Glad you’re better.

I am glad you are all better now. That must have been difficult staying away from those precious grandbabies.
Say hello to Sadie and Coco for me. :)

  15. Glad to hear you’re feeling better… the little ones are so cute!
