Bear is an indoor cat for the most part, especially in the winter. Today was mild, no wind. He ventured out for the first time since the snow arrived. He actually made it all the way to the back of the yard and to his favourite spot… in amongst the trees under the bird feeder. Cold wet paws quickly dampened the adventure.
Coco: “What the heck are you doing out here??”
Bear: “Can you show me the way to go home??”

Yes, cats are normally very much into creature comforts.
Bear looks like he is totally out of his element. At least he satisfied his cat curiosity, but I’m sure he’ll check the temperature with his nose a little more carefully, especially since bird lunches do not appear to be forthcoming in his favorite spot.
Or, could it be this exchange:
Bear: My feets are cold and wet.
Coco: Momma has boots for me.
Bear: What?!
:)
Ooh, with wet paws I’d hurry back inside.
I love David’s take on the exchange between Bear and Coco.
Patches goes from the back door to the front, still looking for the weather we left behind in Alabama. Hope springs eternal…
We still have some snow on the ground here…and my five kitties want no part of it. Love your photos!
awww, love that last pic and captions.
or….can you carry me home?
Lucky Bear got to venture out while it was warm. Were back to the deep freeze! But today it’s sunny and I don’t have to go out. So it’s a good day. H
Thought: the cold and the snow encourage peaceful co-existence?
Bear looks nice against the white snow. Are they Eskimo kissing?
I just commented on these on your photoblog too. I love the nose to nose shot. Your work is always heart warming.
Bear looks aptly named with liking the outdoors, especially in winter!
Stay warm.
Brave Bear! He’s no scaredy-cat of the cold…
