Looking at the clouds this afternoon, it seems to me that rain is surely the-word-of-the-day with grey being the designated colour.
Earlier in the week this was so not the case. Lately many of our fall days have been the kind that have poets reaching for their pens. Much of my time has been spent out in the yard putting my garden to bed and just dilly-dallying about, often with camera in hand.
Unbenounced to me, on this particular afternoon, it was Roland who sensed a photo op.
Not visible in this picture, Bear is in his favoured spot, in amongst the trees. I, forever trying to get the perfect picture, proned myself on the grass. After taking a few shots, and feeling quite comfortable, I took my time going over the captured photos on the camera LCD screen. Coco, never one to turn down comfort, took this opportunity to get up close and personal. Thus the photo.
This one shows Bear in his spot.
Roland’s capture had me smile.

Too cute! These are great shots by Roland.
Our weather has been beautiful, but we sure do need some of that rain. Send some down here, please. :-)
Sometimes the best shots are unplanned! Enjoy the last of the season warmth!
Hey, those are wonderful shots! And bear under the tree…..this is a great photo :)
YOu guys…gave me a big smile.
It looks so lovely there….wild wind and rain storms happening in Victoria……fall has arrived.
So cute. That’s a nice family you have there. We only have one cat, and I’m really pushing for a dog. Don’s a bit reluctant, but this is the first time in my life that I don’t have a dog.
I’m thinking about rescuing this time.
Looks like you have a career as animal photographer and comfortable animal cushion. :)
Coco’s a funny little guy. The way he sits on you reminds me of Angel. When I stretch out like that, Papa always comes over and sits on me. I reckon it’s his way of saying, “This is MY daddy!”.
Coco and Smudge must be kindred spirits, but I want to know where’s the photo you took of Bear?
We’re having an Indian summer here. It looks pretty short sleeved and sunny up there.
Your top banner is outstanding. The actors in your photo essay are quite talented. I wish I had your skill with photography.
Love the pic of bear in your garden in your last post! He’s beutiful! Your pictures are so good with that camera.
We had widespread frost a night ago but not that heavy. Still, a lot of plants don’t look as good. We’re still watering and feeding the good ones. Rain today….(from you?) and then progressively warmer and sunny till Thanksgiving which is supposed to be 22C! I’m having 16 people here so if I can have some of them wandering arounbd outside some of the time before dinner, that’s great!
Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, Colleen!
I can so relate to your life sometimes. That is me exactly with my furry loves exploring and photographing! I am so glad we got to see that side of you (on the other end of the camera).
What great photos. I love the way Coco is perched on you.
But of course. You make perfect garden seating.
Nice light moment.
pretty little corner of the world you have….
Coco is charming and so typical of that breed, very touchy feely.
The weather looks so nice! I see today is cooler on the weather feed.
Been out of contact for a little while, but now I’m back… thanks for sending the perfect fall weather down our way, too. Coco looks very protective of you — such a devoted little one.
Hi Coll,
Super photos, so full of fun. Looks nice and warm still. How is Sadies knee doing? All the animals are so cute.
What I like about this photo is your dedication to the task, Colleen, which often not seen or realized when looking at the resulting photo.
So nice to see you and your furry brood enjoying some of the last warm rays of sun before winter sneaks up.
Tag.. you’re it! Stop by and see what you need to do. http://www.unclevito.net/?p=5814
